The one thing I was worried about was the lack of 91 octane in Dallas, and the drastic difference between the wonderful Texas 93 octane and the terrible CA 91 octane. I was satisfied and my car was shipped out to Texas the next week.

My mods at that time were a turboback exhaust, short ram intake, 38mm EWG, and a fuel pump. I got the protune done on CA 91 octane and the car felt awesome. This tune was being done a few days before my car was getting shipped out to Texas (Late July 2007). A few months later I had all my parts installed that I needed and was ready to get a tune from Ed Equilibrium tuning. I immediately purchased a Cobb AP V2 and flashed it to stage 1 so I could actually drive the car unlike some people who immediately returned their recently purchased STis back to the dealership. The car ran terribly and suffered violent hesitations around 4k rpms. When I first drove my 07 STi off the dealership lot in May 2007 it already had the notorious 07 STi stock tune issue (garbage tune). Skip down past 4 paragraphs to skip the background info with my other tuners and to get right to Keith’s review. It is well worth the time that it will take to read however. My review is very long because it starts when I first met him, and is pretty in depth. I do not see how it can be possible to think of Keith Fields as a bad person or someone that does not care about his customers after my many encounters with him. I have since bought Grimmspeed parts from him, and we are working on other items.

A few friends helped with the installation of the parts while Keith was at his day-long tuning session at another location, where he left and drove to the other side of town to complete my tune at midnight.

It was a few months later when I had completed my turbo upgrade parts collection, and Keith was in town again to do some more tunes.

It was then I realized the kind of person he is - genuinely good, patient, and just down to earth. We gave up at this point, and I asked Keith what I owed him for the 'tune', and he replied with a " Pay me when it's fixed"! I was floored. This was when we found out my boost issue was the OE BCS malfunctioning. We then went to do the road tune, and got my car to 13psi. Keith started by unmarrying the AP, and flashing the car with one of his maps. My car was flashed at Stage 2 with the Ap, and I could not get past 11-12psi, which I thought was normal. Keith was in town to do some tunes, and I wanted to be protuned and take the AP V2 out that I was using at the time. My relationship with Keith and Mary began several months ago.
